讃岐平野の山々と田んぼを背景に築40年をすぎた小さな家屋。その家が佇むまちの風景を彫刻に見立てました。
本展は、螺鈿こんぶによって改装した空間で、家具職人の松村亮平がアンチポエムと田中風呂製作所の家具を、彫刻家の保井智貴が「彫刻家の家」の公開とあわせて、塑像やドローイング等を展示します。
松村亮平の家具は、明確な構造体と物質性、家具どうしの距離感から体感的な反復性を意識させ、洗練された美しい空間を創造します。保井智貴は人物像における静謐な空間性について模索してきた彫刻家です。「彫刻家の家」では、自身の彫刻感を、松村の家具を重力と空間の起点とし、まちの風景と家の関係性と空間性の中で、家の彫刻化を試み、まちの空気感について考察します。
この家が彫刻として佇むことで、まちに流れる静かな空気を感じながら、まちの風景を背にした暮らし、について考えるきっかけになればと思います。
A small house that has surpassed 40 years, set against the backdrop of the mountains and rice fields of the Sanuki Plain. The landscape where the house stands is likened to a sculpture.This exhibition takes place in a space renovated with raden (mother-of-pearl inlay), featuring furniture crafted by artisan Ryohei MATSUMURA from Anti-Poem and furniture from Tanaka Bath Manufacturing Co. Sculptor Tomotaka YASUI, in conjunction with the public presentation of "Sculptor's House," will exhibit sculptures and drawings.Ryohei MATSUMURA 's furniture consciously evokes a sensory repetitiveness through clear structural elements, materiality, and the spatial distance between the pieces, creating a refined and beautiful environment. Tomotaka YASUI,, a sculptor who has been exploring the serene spatiality in figurative representations, attempts to sculpturize the house within the relationship and spatiality of the town's landscape and the house, taking Matsumura's furniture as the point of gravity and spatial origin. The exhibition contemplates the atmospheric sense of the town.By having this house stand as a sculpture, I hope it becomes an opportunity to contemplate life against the backdrop of the town's landscape, feeling the quiet air flowing through the town.
