「ほしの なかに」
二〇一五年以来となる、へちま文庫での個展「ほしの なかに」は、赤いワニと黄いろのクマの二頭による星をめぐる物語がテーマです。
二頭は星を眺めたり、触ったりしているうちに星の中へと続く光をみつけます。

「ほしの おなかの なか」
光をたどって歩いてきた赤いワニと黄色いクマが辿りついたは、なんと、ほしのおなかの中でした。ほしのおなかの中はどんな景色が広がっているのでしょう。二頭はどう二頭はどうなってしまうのでしょう。なってしまうのでしょう。
「ほしの おなかの なか」は彫刻家の家に滞在し、胎内のような浴室の空間に包まれ、高野槙の木風呂に入って鑑賞する作品です。
一年ほど前、私はこの家に滞在し、ここに備え付けられた木製の風呂に入りました。湯に浸かってほどなくすると、湯と肌の質が近づいたのか、木のバスタブの方へ自分の肌が吸い付くような感覚に包まれました。そして、湯が肌の温度に近づくと、今度は、体が湯の中へ溶けだしたような感じがました。「あれ、ここはどこだろう？」と、少しだけ、知らない場所にでかけたような、または、よく知っている場所に帰ったような気持ちになりました。
さて、その感覚は、風呂場を離れたあとも、私の内に存在し続けました。そうして、感覚は育ち、私の頭の中には一つの光景が浮かぶようになりました。今回の展示では、その、私の頭の中に浮かんだ景色を、光と影を使った方法で描きました。滞在されると、お風呂に浸かりながら作品をご鑑賞いただけます。

The solo exhibition "Hoshino Nakani" at Hechima Bunko, marking the first since 2015, revolves around a tale of two creatures, a red crocodile and a yellow bear, journeying among the stars. The duo discovers a light leading into the heart of the stars while gazing at and touching the celestial bodies.

The red crocodile and the yellow bear, who have followed the light, find themselves inside the belly of a star. What kind of scenery will they encounter within?
What will happen to them? ""Hoshino Onakano Naka" " is a piece to be admired while immersed in a bath resembling a womb within the space of The Sculptor's House.
About a year ago, I stayed in this house and bathed in the wooden tub provided here. Soon after soaking in the hot water, I felt as if the quality of the water and my skin had become closer, enveloping me in a sensation where my skin seemed to cling to the wooden bathtub. As the water approached my body temperature, I felt as if my body was melting into the water. I had a feeling of "Where am I?"—a sense of being in an unfamiliar place or returning to a familiar place.
That sensation lingered within me even after leaving the bathroom. Gradually, it grew, and a vision began to form in my mind. In this exhibition, I depicted the scenery that emerged in my mind using light and shadow techniques. Visitors staying in the house can enjoy the artwork while soaking in the bath.
